Disclaimer: We were sent several Zuke’s products in exchange for this post. My furbabies loved them so I felt comfortable sharing the brand with you. ❤
Around here, in the country, we’re doing all kinds of prepping. We even prep our pets in the country. Check out these tips for prepping your pet for winter time.
Get that vet visit in
Something that I don’t like doing is dragging my pets to the veterinarian in the middle of winter. I always schedule a pre-winter vet visit. My pets don’t mind going to the vet, they love it. I try to do this around November before the first winter storm hits.
Stock up on pet food
Another thing you’ll want to do to prep your pet for winter is stock up on pet food. Pet food is something that you don’t want to run out of in the middle of winter. Pet food is a necessity, so make sure you are stocked up on your dog’s favorite food.
Get a good rug for the front door
When the snow falls and your pet is going in and out of the back door, you’re going to wish you had a good rug. Every time your pet comes in, teach them to wipe their paws on the rug. If not, you can always use a towel and wipe off your pet’s feet yourself.
Stock up on Zuke’s Skinny Bakes 10s
Zuke’s Skinny Bakes 10s is something that we stock up on for winter around here. There is only 10 calories in each treat, so you don’t have to worry about your pet overeating this winter. I know it’s harder for pets to get exercise when the ground is full of that white wet stuff. I love what these Skinny Bakes 10s are made of. They’re made with oatmeal, barley, and rice bran plus wholefood fruits and veggies.
Here are some other reasons to love these awesome dog treats:
- Under 10 calories per tasty treat: perfect for medium-sized dogs
- No wheat, corn, or soy
- Ideal vegan treat for dogs with meat allergies
- Made in the USA
