Cheap crafty idea for Christmas gifts.
So like many of us this year is super tight on money for me. I was trying to come up with a cheap way to get everyone a gift on my list. And I decided on making waterless snow globes. It turned out not to be hard either. The worse thing was the superglue all over my fingers but I got that all off pretty quick as well.
What you will need
Some kind of glass. I bought all of mine from Dollar Tree.
Candles for the top of the glass
Some kind of thin not super thin but thin cardboard. I used a box from fish sticks.
And whatever you want to use as your center piece. I found some little animals at Walmart, I also used a Christmas ornaments, and picked up the nest and birds from Hobby Lobby.
Start by tracing the outline of the glass on the cardboard.
Cut it out be sure not to cut right on the outline so that you have room to glue. You will cut the extra off in the end.
Pick your tissue paper and cover the cardboard top and bottom glue down.
Glue your center piece to the center of the cardboard.
Add snow/glitter/salt to the inside of the glass if desired. I didn't use snow in all of mine.
Carefully glue the cardboard to the rim of the glass. I had to let some of mine sit for a while to be sure the glue stuck good.
Slowly turn up right and make sure none of your snow is falling out. If it is add more glue.
Then cut all extra cardboard from the edge.
