Homemade White Fir Tree Playdough

1 cup water
¼ cup salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 Tbsp coconut or olive oil
8-10 drops doTerra's White Fir (feel free to use another brand or contact me to hear my doTerra story)
green food coloring
Heat water in microwave for 1 minute until hot.
Combine water, flour, salt, cream of tartar, and oil until well mixed.
Add green food coloring and essential oil to your strength preference.
Stir to combine, add more essential oil and food coloring if desired. You
could even mix in some glitter if you wanted too.
Place dough on floured counter and knead until smooth and completely
Store in an airtight jar or plastic container, should keep for a month or more. If your playdough begins to dry out just add a little more oil and knead it in.
Include this homeade white fir tree playdough as part of a Christmas unit study or on it’s own.
Be sure to also set out rollers, cookie cutters, buttons, beads, etc.. for loads of fun.
I found this divided tray at Dollar Tree and we use it for a lot of activities.
